For the birthday of his grandson, boda a dear friend of ours asked us to prepare a small cake for a family party that had as its subject the favorite football team the boy: Chelsea. We decided to make a classic sponge cake filled with a layer of Custard Vanilla Custard and one of Chocolate. So after looking on the internet the logo of the team, we immediately put to work! First, we saw that there was asked for a small cake we decided to use a 20 cm cake tin, but since we wanted to be able to decorate beautiful high also on board, the sponge we used 5 eggs in this way we obtained a base of 8 cm in height. Since we do not have a pan high enough, we ingegnate prolonging the edge of the pan with parchment paper with which we have covered. The result was perfect! We baked sponge cake in a convection oven preheated boda to 160 C for 25 minutes, and as soon as it has cooled we cut into 3 parts, sprayed boda with 150 ml of wet soft and stuffed the bottom layer with the chocolate cream and top with vanilla cream (the creams we used doses are half of our recipes). boda Both the creams have lightened with a tablespoon boda of whipped boda cream plant, and with the rest we frosted the cake. The package of cream 250 ml goes there just right. After leaving the cake rest in the fridge for a few hours, we covered with white sugar paste, and we therefore focused on the decoration of the upper cutting and applying all the elements of the logo. To be more precise at this stage, we printed the logo to size and we used it as a guide: the sugar paste paving we placed a sheet of parchment paper and printing boda of the logo, which we have traced the outlines boda for them stamped on the dough. After placing the top, we applied a strip of dough along the blue circle to enrich and enliven the decor (and not to hide minor imperfections cover!). We have therefore applied the number 18 (the age of the birthday), we have strengthened in light blue shading: in this way we gave prominence to a nice number!
Although football is not one of our passions, it seems that the cake was a hit! Too bad we were not there to taste the results of our labors ... However, boda we have reported that liked a lot, both for taste and for the appearance, and above all it was a nice surprise for the birthday boy that he loved. And this definitely encourages us!
