Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes (30 March 1746-16 April 1828) was a painter romantic aragonez, called the last of the Old Masters and the first modern. Goya, although the Spanish royal court painter, became his art historian and commentator of his time. His works became benchmarks for subsequent generations of artists such as Manet, Picasso and Francis Bacon. In honor of the painter, Spain named the national cinematic prices Prices Goya.
